The happy childhood of MR JOB – the second part

The happy Childhood of MR JOB – the second
part

A boy was born in 1968 in February shortly before midnight. The boy was healthy at birth but when the father was on business trip to England, he had to be baptized at home after he was presented in the Church and named. His name is not relevant but the story he writes could be. JOB was thinking that he did not spend much time on homework but more at some leisure job as his father and mother had the attitude that we had to earn our pocket money by our self. JOB´s father had some strange ideas. For example he would not pay for JOB and his brother to start playing tennis until the age of 14 because JOB´s father had read somewhere that Bjorn Borg had also started late. The result was that JOB always got “lame-bashing” in tennis of his comrades.

JOB had not much interest in Football, he went a few seasons and had no real flair for it. It has never really interested JOB as an adult to follow, but JOB must admit it´s a very good sport for youngsters and elder people too and it´s a sport that many people around the Earth love to follow. It is also the biggest sport on Earth that a lot of people enjoy either they play or not. Anyway JOB scraped money together to buy a surf board. Had a nice holiday in the age of 16 with the board to Tunisia on a laddish trip with some good friends. It was one of the coolest experiences JOB had. A constant wind on a 14-16 second meter and sunshine and 26 degrees hot water. This interest however disappeared shortly afterwards when JOB sold the board and since then he have never surfed.

JOB also liked to play a lot on the guitar, especially in front of my friends. Anyway this JOB sold too, because he had to spend extra money on something else. Has since then and just recently bought a guitar again … but it’s totally like starting all over and right now interests JOB very little.

Let me tell you a little more about the Hometown. The town was then, as it also is now a wealthy suburb of Copenhagen, and thus a place that only few can afford to live. JOB´s family had a beautiful villa on the beach road, but not on the water side, where it possibly was even more expensive to buy a house. JOB remember as achild the first time he saw the house, since then he always remember it as ”THE MOON HOUSE”.

JOB´s parents’ priorities, this desire to live in this Suburb, meant that the lovely big Ford Zodiac with leather living room as the family had while they lived in the other part of Denmark, was replaced with a bubble VW. It was basically fun to be with a silver Volkswagen in the garage on the nice beach villa road but that was it. (Anyway JOB must admit that he is a car Freak, both when he was young but even more as an Adult since helearnt to drive himself) Besides the fact that JOB and his brother had to earntheir pocket money by them self. My sister was unfortunately born with a minor disability which has persecuted her entire life, in the sense that she was declared disabled pensioner shortly after she had finished elementary school.

JOB tell a little anecdote about JOB´s childhood home. Background is that the MOON HOUSE was built by a wealthy merchant from Copenhagen (do not remember the name) who used it as a summer residence (it must be the last century). The story goes that the beautiful white villa which was our villa originally was built for his daughter (probably his eye stone) while the 2 yellow houses were his 2 sons and the big house on the waterfront with its own beach ground was built for him. ?? Every summer the family took the trip from Copenhagen up north in horse-carriage, or car? How they arrived is uninteresting, but the houses history is indeed very funny. The 3 of them is as far as JOB know still there, while the one he built for himself on the beach side has been demolished many years ago by a modern “rich man” who has built a large brick to himself. JOB lived there, as JOB remember in the 70s and 80s. Both JOB´s parents were also highly religious, as JOB himself. JOB´s father was a member of the parish council or chairman of this (JOB does not recall exactly) and as a kid JOB went to Sunday school every Sunday. JOB must confess that JOB as an adult has strongly neglected going to church, but it’s not because he don´t believe (still pray the same prayers) JOB just have not wanted for various reasons. JOB´s dear daughter is obviously also baptized in the Christian faith and must of course also be confirmed (if JOB so decide). JOB will just spend a few lines to tell you about JOB´s best parents / ancestors. JOB´s grandmother (his mothers side) had a very religious background, possibly Inner Mission. JOB´s grandfather died before JOB was born but was a farmer. They had many children and so did JOB´s mom’s sisters and brothers too. One was never married, he was a priest.

Children and grandchildren on JOB´s mother’s side engaged in traditional occupations such as fishing, agriculture and the like. Many grandchildren are educators, schoolteachers and the like. There are also some farmers, and one runs a grocery store. All this is largely irrelevant since JOB have not had much contact with his mother’s family since the grandmother died. JOB wrote it just to tell that JOB´s grandmother was an incredibly wonderful person. JOB´s grandfather (the fathers side) was a banker like JOB´s father too but was a little bit snobbish and hated to lose when we played billiards. He was also out of a nice wealthy family, had once owned some properties in Copenhagen, but rumor has it that he was happy to go on the racetrack, etc.. As these properties are no longer in the family’s possession. Besides JOB´s father, JOB´s grandfather also had one son and one daughter. JOB´s father was the youngest in the group. JOB´s memories of Grandpa and his second wife (JOB´s grandmother died shortly after JOB was born), was that they were not so fond of children, so we rarely saw them. JOB temporarily was impressive of the grandfather, as far as JOB remember he died when he was 96 and was in full vigor to the last and played tennis, but fell and got a broken leg and died of it. JOB´s father’s brother and sister died many years ago. JOB´s aunt and her husband had 2 children, one is a cook and the other an engineer. JOB´s father’s brother, my uncle was an incredibly intelligent person but unfortunately also a bit lazy, ignorant and antisocial. He married a lady who had 2 children already. Everything was initially purely idyllic, JOB´s uncle was hired as head of a large company and they had a house north of Copenhagen. So he moved to Spain with his wife. After some years he came home, deaf, bankrupt, divorced and ended in a 2 bedroom flat at the north west end of Copenhagen with his big wolf dog that he brought home from Spain, strange fate, but a nice man. Anyway JOB loved the dear uncle and by the way JOB still love the rest of the family in general.

The Childhood of MR JOB – Part one

The happy childhood of MR JOB- the first part

Job woke up in a hospital in a country called Denmark in a small town. He looked proud and happy up to the new parents, his mother was a nurse and father a banker. Especially he thought that his mother was extremely beautiful at level with the women at the Guardian.

While his father was a funny looking little guy with a “long nose” and big ears, but thought JOB. He looked like a really “rogue” ,and JOB thought to himself, I am of course also. He would later discover that his father was a lone “rogue” charlatan etc., but a nice man and highly respected . “JOB” came even later to look like the “fun driver, his dear father,”. An example of respect. JOB remember an episode where
he as a little boy was in the church with his father. At the same day the U.S. president was on an unofficial state visit. Job’s father was very religious. JOB remember he stood in the door and held his father in the hand while the father
said good day for the U.S. president and said “Nice to Meet you MR. President”. JOB looked up at his father and the president and thought , the man might be president but my father is” BIGGER “. JOB thought of his great respect for his
father.

He was promptly christened when his father was posted to England from the Danish National Bank to the National bank of England, and his mother went home with him and his brother who had come 11 months before MR JOB. JOB was thinking that the brother had not “travelled near so far as JOB “. It takes like 9 months of pregnancy to the birth on planet Earth, about the same as the Guardian, but JOB laughed inside and thought, no one there knew anything about this. JOB also got a lovely sister, unfortunately she was injured at birth. JOB knew she would get a rough ride, but he would try to protect her and help her through. In addition, there were a few larger half-brothers, 2 half-sisters, the one unfortunately died shortly after the arrival of JOB, a pain his father had to live with, but so is the earthly sufferings thought JOB.JOBS parents lived at that time in a town In the Northern part of Denmark but after his father’s return from England, they had to move to a city in the western part of Denmark. JOB had one memory from here when his oldest brother was teaching him to ride the bike. JOB remembered that he fell of several times and that he was a little annoyed at the idiot back then because he had not held securely in the pole on his little bike. Anyway JOB was only 4 years at that time. Enough about it, in addition, JOB has always been fond of this brother. JOB best memory of the childhood was the memory of his maternal grandmother who lived in the northern part of Denmark. She was and will always be in JOB’s eyes one of the best “Earth people” he would encounter on its way. Very religious, very human, very unselfish, incredibly generous although creepy poor. Grandmother was wonderful.

The father came from a rich family who lived in eastern and very expensive part of Denmark. The grandparents here was nice to, but was not much into grandchildren. Enough about that life had begun. His father was special, 4 marriages and 7 children. Impressive thought JOB, it was unheard at the planet “Guardian” and yet he laughed to himself, there was more people who had done the same, including his
own father and it all seemed a little “mysterious”. But it accounted for as being a wonderful “mission” with such a wonderful family.

The DZ beamer started to ring, SHIT JOB thought….It´s the General……….

Hey, Dad, I’m sorry, MR General how are you ? “I am fine sounded the general’s voice over the loudspeaker”, and I think you are on the right track dawn there but I guarantee you that this is NOT A BEACH. JOB answered; Dear Dad , this mission have never been a walk on the beach. Of course not the general replied.

BUT REMEMBER to focus on the TASK. Yes Sir said JOB. The General hung up.
